Frequently Asked Questions

  • If my oxygen concentration is low, should I change the sieve beds?
Changing only the sieve beds may temporarily correct the problem, but there are generally underlying issues which result in the failure of sieve beds.
  • How often should I change my filters in my oxygen concentrator?
Maintaining clean filters is vital to the longevity of your compressor, sieve beds and oxygen concentrator as a whole. In most cases, following the recommendations of the manufacturer of your equipment is sufficient. However, in homes with pets or increased impurities in the air, filters should be checked/changed more frequently.

  • What is Glenn Medical’s hourly oxygen concentrator repair rate?

  • Do I need a prescription to buy an oxygen concentrator?
Yes, if the oxygen concentrator is being used to treat a medical condition, such as COPD. Glenn Medical does sell oxygen concentrators for non-medical use as well.
